A song for my family

I am listening to the voice of truth- it says do not be afraid. The voice of truth tells me a different story. What I am going through now is for God's Glory, just when things look the worst, like there is no hope that is when the Lord steps in and rescues His children. I want to share this song with my mom and my sister. I know that you both listen and believe the voice of truth now let's just stay in faith and prepare to see God work.
It is very scary when your parents become ill, especially when God gives you the best parents He has. It is also very hard to raise 4 children on one income, I have been getting called to work which is an answer to prayer; however, I am exhausted doing midnights but I am thankful for the hours and I am trusting God to give me wisdom to allocate my earnings in the most effective ways to pay down debt. I am also studying Proverbs, by the time I am done I will have a finance degree.....lol

Lisa,

I pray that things ease up for you soon, so you are able to rest. I pray for your parents too. Love this song. You are such a blessing, and I miss seeing you.

We love Casting Crowns around here. My hubby actually used this song in one of his sermons one time to illustrate his point, because it speaks to the heart so beautifully with it's words.

When going thru difficult times, like a parent's illness, we don't have to dwell on every fearful thought that pops into our mind.

We have to capture that thought for Christ (II Cor. 10:5). Take hold of it, subdue it, and choose to focus on the faithfulness of God.

We think we are in a battle for our parent's health, but we're not. That issue is already settled and in God's hands.

We are in a battle for faith. For trusting God, even when, especially when, we can't see what He is doing.

Job 23: 8-10 are some great verses. Vs. 10 says "But He knows the way that I take, and when He has tried me, I will come forth as gold."

You are being tried, tested, perfected and being made more like Him. He will bring you forth as gold.

We have to go thru the Refiner's fire in order to burn out all the impurities. But He will go thru it with you. He went thru it with me when my parents were ill, and He was there with me when my dad went to be with Him. He is with me now every time I miss my dad, and every time my mom has to go to the hospital again.

My prayers are with your family. I know it's hard, but He is faithful to be with you! He will never leave you.

Casting Crowns aren't they just the greatest Christian group and the song just really speaks to not me but to you and to everyone who will open up and listen to it. I know how hard it is to work the long hours, come home and try to take care of your family and be the kind of wife and mother you need to be. I am praying that things will get easier and better for you and your family. EVen though I am far away I am still here to listen and have a shoulder to lean on. Love ya

OH I love this song! It is simply beautiful! May we encourage one another to listen to the Voice of Truth!

Hang in there my sister! This is only a short season. God has the answers you are looking for. He will see you through. And He will take care of your dad. I know times are difficult for you. God hasn't forgotten you. He will see you through.

Take care my friend!
I hope you have a great weekend!
And I hope you can get some rest!

Blessings Lisa...What beautiful personal words to The Voice of Truth! Casting Crown is one of my new favorite groups this year and I'm trying to collect enough of their songs to burn a CD! Their music just isn't available here.
But it is through TSMSS & good choices like you made!(just not as a video)! May Our Lord bless you with an extra portion and strength for your working those tough hours!
May He hear the requests & desires of your heart for you, Tito & your beautiful family! May He bless you this season as you draw closer to Him!
